[EXCLUSIVE] Chibuzo Nwadike [@Iam_SirHugoboss], Mr Tourism SouthEast-Nigeria 2013, Talks On The “MTN” Experience!

At the Ghana Movies Award in Accra, this eligible, bright, and handsome young man, who just represented one of the south-eastern states (Imo State) in the just concluded Mr Tourism Nigeria “MTN” 2013, was caught up with and interviewed exclusively about his experience and future plans. Be informed that he was decorated with the crown of Mr TOURISM SOUTHEAST at the competition… dear MBzers, I present to you: Mr Chibuzo Albert Nwadike.

Brief introduction about you
My Name is Chibuzo Nwadike, popularly known as “Hugoboss”, a final year student studying Computer Science at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri in Nigeria, and by the grace of God, I am the current Mr Tourism Imo State—South-East in general—and a profound Tourism Ambassador in Nigeria.

How did the Mr Tourism Contest start?
Actually, it was totally unplanned; a very good friend told me about it. I got interested, obtained the form, and went for the audition. And as God would have it, I won in Imo state, and then proceeded to the “Nationals”, where I won the Mr TOURISM SOUTHEAST Nigeria.

The one week camping at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria … Tell us the experience
Yes, we did and it was a very great experience—a life changing one—I had lots of fun, met lots of people and characters as well, did things you’ve never done before … it was a nice experience. And I would say thanks to the organisers, Zanzy Entertainment as they really made a lot of impact in my life… they made me do things I thought I couldn’t do before!

Even when it was time to leave the camp, most of us didn’t want to go again, you can imagine. There were little stress in the camp like sleeping for only three hours daily and other stuffs, but I enjoyed my stay at the camp… I actually miss the foods and the early morning workouts (laughs).

Food? That means MBzers should go for the 2014 season of the contest
Yes, they should—seriously! I think every individual should experience such, at least once in lifetime!

Qualities you think differentiated you at the competition
Err… I think it is majorly my personality and the kind of life I live … I am always me and I can’t change for anything! My ability to learn fast and to adapt to any environment I find myself as well. At the starting of the camp, everything was just different to my eyes because it was my first time participating in this kind of competition—I had zero experience about pageantry—but in little time, I got used to everything: the dance routine, the walking steps and all of it. Other qualities that kept me away from others are my charisma, smile and my gap teeth. *shows his gap teeth*

Funny… Values added to you from the Mr TOURISM NIGERIA experience
(Screams) Ha! Plenty oh! First of all, if not for what it has made me today, you wouldn’t have being using your time to conduct this interview. But really, favours have been showering in from all angles—I am no more the normal Chibuzo Nwadike or the daily “Hugoboss”—now people see me and they’re like “Mr Tourism” or “Mr Imo” … God added another mighty name to my names through this. My life has changed and my self-image too; I thank God for such an opportunity!

Your plans for 2014
Lots of them; I am just praying for God’s favour and grace to be alive till then! As Mr Tourism South-East, the whole South-Eastern States are in my custody, so definitely, plenty plans are on ground but I don’t want to talk about them so it won’t sound like I am blabbing!! Just sit down and cross your fingers; it is a promise and I must deliver!

Brief shout outs
Brief? It can never be brief oh; the list is endless…. The first goes to Almighty God, it’s all by his Grace! My Reverend, Reverend Chisanctus Clarks, thanks for your prayers! My big mum, Mrs T.A Nwadike, she made every bit of this possible financially and otherwise, and she even made all my costumes… you will live long, Ochendo! All members of the Nwadike family: uncles, aunties, and cousins… thank you all! My noble siblings, Bukarbig, MaryJane, Benard and Chibueze… I love you all; you’re very special! All members of the Best Social Talent Club of Nigeria (BST's), my brothers from another mother, thanks for being there for me! My Facebook friends, Twitter followers, BBM friends and groups, especially ‘BBA Addicts’, I love you all one by one! Mr Benard Eze, Obinna Nkamzy, Amara Nsofor, Jekeli Godwin, Fabizon Chigozie, OvisPrince, Hilda Ibinabo, Imo state Students Association (FEDPONEK and FUTO Chapter), Old Boys Association Christ The King College Onitsha… may God make you all bigger! Zanzy Entertainment, I will never forget what you did for me and all Mr Tourism Delegates 2013, we dey rock! You all that liked my pictures and broadcasted my link, God bless you all a double-fold!

Role Models
Role models? As an individual, I’ve never for one day thought of being like anybody… I noticed the best I can be is being me. I have no role models but I have people bigger than I am that I just like and sometimes copy… the likes of Kanye West, John Milton, Steven Speilberg, Denzel Washington, Jean BasQuiat of Late Memory, Wesley Snipes, Chiewetel Ejiofor and the rest of them. I wouldn’t forget Zack Orji and Bob Manuel Udokwu too!

Mostly actors … why?
Yes, I love movies a lot and I write scripts as well! And I will appreciate being a screen god one day.

Words to your fans out there
I want to say a big thank you for your support! The thing is this: we won’t stop here; we must reach the sky! I love you all. And finally, thanks to #MikellzBluez… I appreciate.
