My Boyfriend Wants Me To Sleep With His Best Friend; Somebody Help! [Dear MBzers]

Dear MBzers,
I am a 300 level student of Music in a private university in Nigeria, and I date a working class boyfriend. He is older and more mature, so I respect and love him a lot… and I feel he loves me too.

However, his best friend just got back from the UK during the last Christmas season, and he brought a dilemma into my life with his return. I am still confused as I don’t understand the condition that will warrant my boyfriend’s request after a week of his friend’s return… he just wants me to “make love” to his friend, and he will be there to watch—is that not crazy?

[Love, Sex And Relationship] What Makes Men Fall in Love — PART 2

There’s into you, and then there’s head-over-heels gaga. These little things tip a man over that edge.

It’s a baffling question: Is there some specific moment or event that makes a guy suddenly decide “Yes, I think I love her”? Well, the answer isn’t clear-cut, but there are some general principles. “Men have certain innate needs that must be met before they truly feel connected to you,” says Paul Dobransky, MD, author of The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love. “When a guy realizes, consciously or not, that you’re ideal on all these levels, that’s when he’ll commit.” Boiled down, guys have four primal relationship desires that are sometimes sated by the tiniest of moves by you. Here, experts continue with the PART 2 (click HERE for the PART 1) of this very helpful article, so you can put these insights to use when your guy is at the brink.

Inspire | Truth: Would It Be Wrong?

As false as it sounds, I always tell the truth. Okay, that should be a joke. I am not a saint, and I do lie. And I most times lie, without the difficulty to tell the truth, but the perceived inability of the recipient to handle it well.

[Dear MBzers] My Boyfriend Still Keeps Sextapes Of His Ex; Is He Still In Love With Her? — Barbie

Dear MBzers,
I just have to come out with this. I love my boyfriend so much and I don’t want to lose him to any woman, so I endeavour to please him with all he wants all the time… even when I am not comfortable with things I have to do to please him. And I am sure he loves me too or he behaves so well to remove every doubt about his love for me… till he—by himself—recently showed me clips of recorded videos of his ex-girlfriend making love to him!

[INSPIRE] TRUTH: Would It Be Wrong?

As false as it sounds, I always tell the truth. Okay, that should be a joke. I am not a saint, and I do lie. And I most times lie, without the difficulty to tell the truth, but the perceived inability of the recipient to handle it well.

That girl knows the relationship will most likely crash after two months, but will prefer we go all the way to initiate it (is that to make me appear a liar after two months?). If I had told you straight out that I like you and I will like us to have some great moments together, and we did and parted ways happily after few months, would it be wrong?

Some people find it hard to take the truth, and to those alone, I happily lie. But some people also find it hard to tell the truth, no matter how undue. These are the set of people I will like to ask if they fear losing their mouth at the utterance of simple truth or what?

You lie about where you are coming from, where you are going to, what you ate for breakfast, your origin, your family, your siblings, and even your name — who are you? Telling a simple truth, would it be wrong?

Some people have lied so much that any sound they make is considered as a lie. If that guy should snore, please poke him and you will hear him laugh out loud. How do you lie so much that you don’t even know the truth about yourself any longer?

Be truthful about your relationship status; you’re bound to meet people who will still love to get intimate with you notwithstanding. Giving people the belief that you are having only them on board but finding out later that you lied hurts, even beyond forgiving and forgetting sometimes.

And how do you expect your friend to feel when he or she discovers that you lied about some very important issues? Many things are put at stake and many destinies may change at every false utterance. So please, always try to speak the truth of things — it can never be wrong.
