Some have boyfriends but got no Val gift, some got Val gifts but no boyfriends, I have boyfriend(s) and I got Val gift(s), glory be to thee, oh Lord, amen!  All my life—well, since I don dey waka—na one day I dey like pass for the whole year: Valentine’s Day! You dey ask yourself where the “Saint” dey? Abeg no dey follow dem dey call Saint Valentine because e don tey wey people don comot the “Saint” with their behaviour; now, na just Valentine… in fact, make we just call am “Val” as e dey waste time to say the whole “Valentine” word.

He watched her as she stayed laid, almost so lifeless. Still. The sight that once fascinated him now brought him much to THINK. Her chest sank slowly, into the cozy bed they found themselves in-after last night’s RENDEVOUS. And she was still breathing. BEAUTIFUL, He thought. Her dark shimmered under the tinge light that managed to creep into the room. And part from the pale light and the melancholic song hovering in the air, all that was left was darkness-thick blinding darkness consumed the entire room and his thoughts….

It was Valentine’s Day. And here he was trapped in a box with someone he considered his life. But she was more than that. The aura of pleasure stinking him, spilling bits of ecstasy all other his body as he soaked himself in his thoughts once more.

Valentine is in the air!!! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! But what is it all about? Is it not another Christmas in barely six weeks?! Oh! Do you mean that I am over-reacting?! Okay, I ‘collect’ but can you ask a girl to spot the differences between the two? Other than no Christmas trees and lights, and you may not necessarily kill a chicken or cow… Christmas and Valentine’s Days are both the same when it comes to gifts—in a girl’s mind! I doubt if a man won’t even spend more on gifts during Valentine compared to Christmas!
